In 2007 DeVal Corporation began the AERO 51E Conversion In Lieu of Procurement (CILOP) Program. This CILOP Program was awarded to DeVal by contract with the Naval Air Engineering Station at Lakehurst. With this program AERO 51B Trailers are upgraded to AERO 51E Trailers. This conversion process includes the installation of sealed wheel bearings, a disc brake system, a light weight drawbar and an LED lighting system.
